I didn’t have any cool cars when I was a young man. My high school friends had GTOs and 442s, Chevelles, Road Runners, Mustangs….I had mom’s 1963 Dodge station wagon and had to share it with my older sister! I’ve been making up for lost time ever since.
Current wheels: 2016 Z06 3LZ convertible. Under 15K miles when I traded in the 2012 Grand Sport in Jan. 2020. Stock, factory supercharged 650 hp and 650 torque! Rare color combo, I’m the 2nd owner. This Vette was originally sold in Canada. The window sticker is in French and it came with a French owners manual and an American one too. This Vette is 10 years old now and I still learn something new about it each time I drive it.

March, 2025: This is way more truck than I need. But, I got a good price, and a good trade-in. This is the first NEW vehicle I’ve bought since my 2003 Silverado. Amazing how the technology has advanced. I’ll be learning about this truck for years to come.
Past wheels: 2003 Silverado LS. Bought new and never regretted it. Leather, towing pkg. with heavy duty suspension. Had it repainted original colors after a minor fender bender. Over the years, I replaced all of the light housings, took off all the badges and side cladding and added some GM OEM 20” Tahoe rims.
2012 Grand Sport 3LT convertible. 430hp, close-ratio 6 speed, magnetic ride control, Bose sound, nav system. Fun to drive. Only had 5K miles when I bought it in 2016. Still smelled new. Traded for the 2016 Z06 above January 2020.

I love real cars too. I suppose it comes from having to drive Mom's '63 Dodge station wagon to high school, when most of my friends had
Chevelles, Camaros, 442s, GTOs, or Mustangs. My second and third row seats folded down so I was always in demand for double dates to the drive-in movies. Funny, but I don’t remember any of the movies…
My fourth Monte Carlo was a 2002 SS I bought new. Nice driving car, but I didn’t keep it long.
My Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 was a performance variant of the Monte Carlo produced from 1995 to 1999, featuring a 3.4-liter V6 engine and sportier design elements. It was known for its enhanced handling and performance compared to the standard models, and it was eventually replaced by the Monte Carlo SS in 2000.
This 1974 was in good condition when I bought it in the mid ‘80s. Factory 454 with towing/gauge package and swivel bucket seats. I put the Camaro Z28 wheels on it .
My first Monte Carlo, was a 1973. It was gold but I had it painted Corvette beige and found some period correct Z 28 Camaro rims painted to match. When getting the car painted, I discovered that it had some bad rust around the windshield and rear window, so I sold it and my brother in Atlanta found me the ’74 big block black Monster Monte below.
This is a 1990 Chevy Sport pickup I bought for $2,500 from a friend who owned a large construction company. They used it for a work truck for years. Engine and transmission had been replaced but the body and interior were in rough shape. When I was finished with it, it looked like new.
Around about 1992, business was picking up and we needed a “company car”. My friend that owned a local Pontiac dealership took me to a dealer auction where I purchased a low-mile, off lease Bonneville. I even let my wife drive it!
