Sometime back in the late '80s, my late brother who also built and collected model cars, gave me this partially-built Corvette model he found at some garage sale. I carefully took it apart, stripped off the old brushed-on paint, and resprayed the body and chasis. I displayed it for years in an individual case. The paint's dulled a little, but the model still looks pretty nice.
I later restored a real 1972 'Vette. So this model is one of my favorites in my collection.
Down there's the real Corvette in front of the first tee, where I tried my best to learn golf one summer.
They kept telling me to go on to the second hole. But I kept saying, "Not until I get this one right!".
